Editorial Policy
How this content is made
Our process for researching, writing, reviewing and updating everything published on this site.
Research
Articles begin with guidance from established public health bodies and with peer-reviewed literature, prioritising systematic reviews and meta-analyses over individual studies.
Where the evidence is mixed or limited, we say so in the article rather than presenting a confident conclusion.
Writing
We write in plain language and explain technical terms the first time they appear. Content is structured so a reader can find a specific answer without reading the whole page.
We avoid sensational framing, fear-based language and promises of transformation.
Review and updates
Every article carries a publication date and a last-updated date. Content is revisited when guidance changes or when we identify an error.
Corrections are made directly in the article and reflected in the updated date.
Commercial content
The site is not currently monetised. If display advertising, affiliate links or sponsored content are introduced, they will be clearly labelled on the page where they appear and will not influence editorial recommendations.
